The rams typically live in bachelor groups separate from the ewes and young,
only joining the herd during the mating season which begins in November.
These images were taken in early October, in the late morning.

Moose have a distinctive long, bulbous, drooping muzzle with an upper lip that overhangs the lower.
Both male and female moose have a “bell”, a dewlap of skin and hair which hangs below the throat.
They do not have upper incisors, and nip off twigs between the bony upper palate and lower incisors.
